Good morning. After 4 years as a student-athlete and 8 years as the program’s director of operations, Katie Kennedy is departing Virginia Tech and the track & field world for a new adventure. We are so grateful for everything she’s done for VT T&F.

🔼 Academic Honors. Five women’s track and field athletes earned College Sport Communicators Academic All-District Awards. Mariana Pestana (throws), Sara Killinen (throws), Julia Fixsen (pole vault), Lyndsey Reed (pole vault) and Lindsey Butler (distance) were each awarded.

The Men. The College Sport Communicators also awarded Hokie men’s track and field athletes with Academic All-District awards.

Welcome. The track and field team welcomes Emma Linder to its distance team. Linder is from Bavaria, Germany. She specializes in the 800m and the 1500m. She is also a multi-time German National Team member, representing Germany in multiple international events.
