🔼 At the Top. Antwaun Powell-Ryland leads the FBS in sacks with 6.0 sacks on the season.

🔼 Top Freshmen. Two cross country athletes were named to weekly honors. Nicholas Kipchirchir was named ACC Male Freshman Performer of the Week, and Sharon Chepchirchir was named ACC Female Freshman Performer of the Week. Kipchirchir claimed the individual title for the men’s 8k race at the Hokie Invitational. Chepchirchir collected her first win with a 6k time of 20:55.4.

Offensive Spotlight. This week, the football team highlighted a wide receiver who has returned for his fifth year. So far this season, he has played in four games, has eight receptions and 170 yards.

Almost Gameday. The football team travels to Florida to take on No. 7 Miami on Friday at 7:30 p.m. You can watch the game on ESPN, listen on the radio or Hokies live audio and follow the live stats. The teams have a long history, playing each other a total of 40 times. The game will be the program’s 28th meeting with a ranked team and the first since 2020.
