After announcing a transition of leadership for the Virginia Tech football team Sunday, Director of Athletics Whit Babcock and Interim Head Coach Philip Montgomery addressed Hokie Nation and the media Tuesday afternoon. Babcock was able to detail the path that the University is taking towards finding the next head football coach as well as speak to the upcoming changes to the Athletic Department. 🔼 This Weekend. The football team hosts Wofford on Saturday at noon. This marks the second time in school history the Terriers have played at Lane Stadium. This is the first game under interim head coach Philip Montgomery. You can watch the game on ACC Network Extra and ESPN+.

Virginia Tech interim head football coach Philip Montgomery visits with Hokies' broadcasters Bill Roth and Mike Burnop. Montgomery, who had been serving as Virginia Tech's offensive coordinator, was named interim head coach Sunday following the Hokies 0-3 start. He will be on the sidelines Saturday at noon when the Hokies face Wofford at noon.

Celebrating Service. Virginia Tech football will honor members of the military community during the Hokies’ matchup against Wofford on Saturday. The event will spotlight veterans, the Corps of Cadets and those making an impact in the military community. Fans are encouraged to wear white as part of the White Effect. Fans that are looking to show gratitude to those who serve may donate tickets to an active duty veteran and their family.
