🔼 State Recognition. The Virginia Sports Information Directors named two Hokies for awards. Coach Chugger Adair received Coach of the Year, and Allie George was named Defensive Player of the Year. Four athletes were named to First Team— George, Lauren Hargrove, Natalie Mitchell and Emma Pelkowski— and Taylor Price earned Second Team honors.

Spotlight. Sophomore forward Carys Baker has played an instrumental role in strengthening the women’s basketball team. Baker has played and started in 18 games so far this season. She averages 10.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and shooting 46.1% from the field.
