🔼 Promoted! Jarrett Ferguson has been promoted to the assistant athletic director of football strength and conditioning. Ferguson worked on Virginia Tech’s strength and conditioning staff for 13 years. Overall, he has about two decades worth of experience in the field.

🔼 Going Pro. Women’s soccer player Allie George has signed a professional contract for the 2025 season with Racing Louisville of the NWSL. In her 2024 season at Virginia Tech, George started 21 matches and tallied four goals and two assists.

Moving Up. Former Virginia Tech and seven-year MLB utilityman Chad Pinder has been named the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers field manager. This is the Chicago White Sox’ Single-A affiliate in the Carolina League. Ponder retired from MLB in May 2023, making this his first career managerial role since then.
