Know the Player. As the women’s basketball team competes in the Fort Myers Tip-Off, take some time to get to know redshirt freshman Mackenzie Nelson. Nelson is a fan-favorite point guard. The Connecticut native etched her name into the record books as one of the top high school players in her state. Now, as a Hokie, she brings contagious energy and leads the team in the charges, steals, turns and executing on offense.
