Virginia Tech Football’s 2026 Spring Game presented by Eagle Construction
is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with an afternoon kickoff time to be determined.

The game will be free admission and open to the public.

🔼 Six Pack Of Ws. There’s truly no place like home.

The Virginia Tech women’s hoops team continued their hot streak, rolling past visiting Pitt, 67-50, en route to their sixth straight victory.

Kilah Freelon recorded a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, while Carleigh Wenzel led the way with 17 points on the night. Carys Baker was the third Hokie in double-figures with 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

With the victory, the Hokies improve to 17-6 overall and 12-2 at home at Cassell Coliseum.

🔼 Top-10 Showdown. The top two teams in the ACC will square off on the mats tonight in Raleigh in this year’s edition of the Hokies-Wolfpack rivalry.

In the opening portion of Friday Night Duals on the ACC Network, the #7 Virginia Tech wrestling battle #8 NC State for sole possession of first place in the league standings.

First wrestle is set for 7 pm.

🔼 Sold Out Saturday. Scenes like that and MUCH more are on tap tomorrow afternoon at Cassell Coliseum when the fourth-ranked Blue Devils roll into Blacksburg for a 12 pm showdown on ESPN.

The Hokies will look to protect their home court, a place where they are 12-1 this season.

🔼 On The Move. With a few weeks left before spring training starts, a former Hokie is on the move for the upcoming baseball season.

This week, former Virginia Tech standout T.J. Rumfield was dealt to the Colorado Rockies in a trade agreement. The first baseman now sits in the top-20 prospect’s in Colorado’s organization.

Drafted in the 12th round out of Virginia Tech in 2021 by the Philadelphia Phillies, he was traded to New York before the 2022 minor league season.

Between Double-A and Triple-A, Rumfield has hit .289 with 31 HRs over the past two seasons.
