🔼 Playoff Bound. For the fifth time in eight seasons, former Virginia Tech star Tremaine Edmunds is heading to the playoffs.

Despite missing five games with an injury, Edmunds has been a vital cog in Chicago’s resurgence this season, helping lead the Bears to their first NFC North Division title since 2018.

With 17 tackles in his past two games, he became just the second player to reach 100+ tackles in every season since he joined the league in 2018.

In addition to Edmunds, six other former Hokies will be a part of the NFL postseason.

RB Bhayshul Tuten (Jaguars), LB Keonta Jenkins (Bills), TE James Mitchell (Panthers), OL Yosh Nijman (Panthers), OL Lecitus Smith (Packers) and S Chuck Clark (Steelers) will all be playing next weekend in the first round.

🔼 Conference Clashing. Under the tree wasn’t the only place the Virginia Tech men’s basketball squad unveiled presents during the holiday season as the Hokies thrilled the home crowd with an unforgettable triple OT win over #21 Virginia in the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash on New Year’s Eve.

Returning to Cassell for their first home games of 2026, the Hokies are set for two BIG league matchups with Stanford and Cal.
