🦃 HOKIE HOUR
On Tuesday, Virginia Tech Athletics announced the introduction of Hokie Hour for the remainder of the 2026 football season, along with additional enhancements to stadium entry operations aimed at reducing congestion and improving the overall fan experience at Lane Stadium.
Hokie Hour will offer fans an exciting opportunity to kick off gameday with a variety of pregame festivities, including Hokie Village, the official pep rally and Hokie Walk on Beamer Way as well as earlier access to the stadium and early bird specials.
As part of its ongoing commitment to elevate the Virginia Tech Gameday Experience, gates will now open 2.5 hours prior to kickoff for the remainder of the football season. During Hokie Hour, which runs during the first hour of gates opening, fans can enjoy 50% off concessions (non-alcoholic) at most locations. The early bird special also includes $4 select domestic beers, $5 select import beers and $5 canned transfusions. Fans are encouraged to drink responsibly and must be 21 years or older.

🔼 World Series Bound. A pair of former Virginia Tech standouts punched their ticket to the Fall Classic this week as left-hander Ian Seymour and President of Baseball Operations Erik Neander celebrated an American League pennant with the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night.
This is Neander’s second trip to the World Series as he was with the Rays when they reached the championship series in 2020.
Seymour will be the first former Hokie to play in the World Series since Joe Mantiply with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2023.
Game 1 of the World Series is set for Friday night in Milwaukee.
🔼 Breakin’ It Down. It’s another big week for Virginia Tech football as ACC action is heating up as November draws near.
The Hokies will head to Death Valley this Saturday night to square off with perennial ACC contender Clemson.
In the latest edition of the Level Seven Podcast, Tech broadcasters Bill Roth and Mike Burnop preview the game, plus are joined by special guest electric big-play wide receiver Que’Sean Brown, who not only leads the Hokies in receiving, but is the nation’s leading punt returner.

🔼 Pack The Pitch. It’s a busy week at Thompson Field as both Virginia Tech soccer programs are set to host a pair of home matches.
Tonight, the men’s team hits the pitch in a non-league showdown with Winthrop at 6 p.m., while the women return home to take on Wake Forest tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
Sunday will be an ACC futbol doubleheader with both programs battling Clemson with the men kicking off at 2 p.m, followed by the women at 5 p.m.
🔼 And Another One. Add another honor to the long list of growing weekly accolades for Virginia Tech star wide receiver Que’Sean Brown.
After his monster performance in Saturday’s win over Georgia Tech, Brown earned a spot on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll. His 251 all-purpose yards marked one of the most productive single-game performances by a Hokie since 1987, ranking eighth in the program during that span.
The Paul Hornung Award, presented by Texas Roadhouse, recognizes the most versatile player in major college football. The award’s weekly Honor Roll highlights standout performances from players who demonstrate versatility and make significant contributions in multiple phases of the game.
