🔼 Earning Their Stripes. Virginia Tech football delivered one of its biggest victories of the season on Saturday night, rallying in the fourth quarter to stun Clemson, 20-16, at Memorial Stadium and earn its first win in Death Valley since 2007.

Trailing 16-10 entering the final quarter, the Hokies mounted a dramatic comeback behind quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer, who completed 20 of 32 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Both scores went to tight end Luke Reynolds, including the game-winning five-yard touchdown reception on fourth down with just 1:44 remaining. Reynolds finished with seven catches for 44 yards and two touchdowns, while kicker John Love connected on field goals of 37 and 47 yards.

Virginia Tech's defense also delivered a standout performance, recording 13 tackles for loss and four sacks, including a game-sealing fourth-down sack by Mylachi Williams.

🔼 Point Taken. Facing one of the country’s top squads, the Virginia Tech men’s soccer team battled back to earn a gutty 2-2 draw against No. 3 Clemson on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Thompson Field.

Tito Peralta scored in the first five minutes of the contest to give Tech an early 1-0 lead and Chase Vazquez provided the late heroics with his team-leading fifth goal of the season to help the Hokies draw even at 2-2 in the 67th minute.

Goalkeeper Diego Dauzier made four saves, all in the second half, to help the Hokies hold Clemson scoreless over the final 45 minutes.

🔼 Drawing Even. A career night from Julianna Trujillo led the Virginia Tech women’s soccer team to a hard-fought 1-1 draw with visiting Clemson on Sunday evening at Thompson Field.

Gabby Ciocca’s goal in the 57th minute was the Hokies’ lone goal on the day, while Trujillo racked up a career-best eight saves in goal for Tech.

🔼 Flexing His Muscle. Now in his ninth NFL season, veteran safety and former Hokie Chuck Clark is still flexing his muscle.

On Sunday, Clark and the Lions’ defense stifled the Green Bay Packers all afternoon long in a 20-17 home victory.

The former Hokie had five tackles, a TFL and a pass deflection for Detroit. On the season, Clark has 36 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, a sack and an interception.

🔼 Back In Cassell. Cassell Coliseum will soon come alive once again as both Virginia Tech men’s and women’s basketball make their triumphant returns for the 2026-27 season.

With less than two weeks away before the action tips off in Cassell, now is the perfect time to secure your tickets to the excitement in Blacksburg. Read below to find information on the Back in Cassell Bundle and the Hokies at Home Pack, two ticket offerings that are primed to welcome fans for a can’t-miss season ahead.

🔼 Experience Upgrades. This week, Virginia Tech Athletics announced the introduction of Hokie Hour for the remainder of the 2026 football season, along with additional enhancements to stadium entry operations aimed at reducing congestion and improving the overall fan experience at Lane Stadium.

During Hokie Hour, which runs during the first hour of gates opening, fans can enjoy 50% off concessions (non-alcoholic) at most locations. The early bird special also includes $4 select domestic beers, $5 select import beers and $5 canned transfusions. Fans are encouraged to drink responsibly and must be 21 years or older.

🏀 PREMIUM SEATING

Last week Virginia Tech Athletics announced enhancements to premium seating at Cassell Coliseum, introducing individual, NBA-style courtside seats and new loge seating opportunities for fans attending men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling contests.
