🔼 The Glass Cleaners. Behind a dominant effort on the glass and a balanced offensive attack, the Virginia Tech women’s hoops squad surged to an 87-51 victory over Gardner-Webb on Thursday night to move to a perfect 3-0 to start the 2025-26 campaign.
Kilah Freelon powered the Hokies with a commanding double-double, posting 12 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, including nine on the offensive glass. Her effort anchored Tech’s frontcourt that dominated the boards, 54-27, and generated 35 second-chance points.
🔼 Drive To Five. Junior Elizabeth Aylward picked a great time for a career-night as the Nashville, Tenn. unleashed 15 kills, 11 digs and four blocks to propel the Virginia Tech volleyball squad to a five-set thriller over Duke (29-27, 18-25, 25-22, 20-25, 16-14).
Camilla Brandalise (27 assists, 17 digs) and Erica Dellseky (22 assists, 16 digs) also had double-doubles in the victory.
The Hokies remain on Tobacco Road for a Sunday afternoon tilt with #15 North Carolina.

🔼 On The Road Again. The Virginia Tech football team heads back on the road to tackle its sixth conference opponent of the 2025 campaign when they battle Florida State in Tallahassee on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
The Hokies, who are looking to reach .500 in their 2025 conference competitions, will attempt to do so against a Seminole team that lost their last outing against Clemson 24-10.
With plenty of storylines waiting to be written in Tallahassee, here’s What to Watch as the Hokies and Seminoles square off on Saturday.
