๐Ÿ”ผ Four Of A Kind. The Virginia Tech menโ€™s hoops squad moved to 4-0 on the year with a hard-fought, scrappy 84-76 victory over visiting Charlotte on Sunday.

Behind a 21-pointer afternoon from Jailen Bedford, the Hokies grabbed the lead early and never looked back, holding the lead for over 39 minutes.

Tobi Lawal was a monster in the second half, pouring in 18 points and grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds, in addition to blocking three shots in the win. Neoklis Avdalas was the third Hokie in double-figures with 10 points in the contest.

Itโ€™s usually a recipe for success and on Saturday, it sure was for the Virginia Tech womenโ€™s hoops squad who rolled to a fast-paced 82-59 victory over Coastal Carolina to improve to 4-0 for the first time in four years.

Carleigh Wenzel secured her first double-double of the season and the third of career behind a season-high 23 points and career-best 10 assists. Kilah Freelon was close behind with a career-best 18 points, while Carys Baker (15) and Mackenzie Nelson (12) each finished in double-figures.

๐Ÿ”ผ Ticket Punched. The Virginia Tech menโ€™s cross country squad is heading back to the NCAA Championships.

With a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regionals this past Friday, the Hokies earned an at-large bid into next weekendโ€™s NCAA Championships in Gans Creek, Mo.

At the NCAA Regional meet, a trio of Hokies earned All-Region accolades with Katie Bohlke, George Couttie and Nicholas Kipchrichir all earning the recognition.

With his 18 point, 15 rebound performance in Sundayโ€™s win over Charlotte, Tobi Lawal notched his second double-double of the season.
