Coach Skiera stated “We are very excited to be moving into our 2026 spring season with these four individuals serving as captains. They are tremendous leaders, people and players and will be integral in charting our course through the upcoming season!”
🏈 A NEW ERA IN BLACKSBURG
The 2026 recruiting class has officially taken shape in Blacksburg. Virginia Tech Football welcomed 22 recruits last week, the product of an unwavering recruiting effort spearheaded by first-year head coach James Franklin and his staff.
The Hokies, who now find themselves with a nationally ranked top-25 recruiting class for the first time since 2019, landed eight four-star prospects—tied for the most-ever in program history (2019). Franklin now owns a 13-year streak of top-25 classes.
