🔼 Thirty Piece Thursdays. With more nights like Thursday at Cassell, the Neo Step might soon be taking over dance floors all across southwest Virginia.

Freshman sensation Neoklis Avdalas notched his second 30-point game of the season to lead the Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball squad to a dominant 96-74 victory over visiting Western Carolina.

With the win, the Hokies are now a perfect 6-0 at home.

Amani Hansberry had yet another strong outing with 18 points and six rebounds, while Tyler Johnson and Ben Hammond each chipped in 13 apiece.

Up first, the men’s squad hosts Maryland Eastern Shore for a high noon showdown, followed by the women who take on ETSU at 4 pm.

The two teams are a combined 13-1 at home this season.
