The Future Starts Now. The future officially begins today when the Hokie family grows bigger and brighter with National Signing Day 2026.

🔼 Workin’ Overtime. The hearts were racing, the fingernails were biten, but ultimately, it was the Virginia Tech men’s hoops squad, who fought their way through a back-and-forth battle with South Carolina for a 86-83 road win in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday night.

The game featured eight ties and nine lead changes with neither team leading by more than 10 points at any point.

Amani Hansberry had a monster night for the Hokies with 22 points and 14 rebounds, along with three assists and two blocks. Ben Hammond came off the bench to score 16 points, including the eventual game-winner with under 10 seconds to play in overtime.

Neoklis Avdalas (13 points) and Jaden Schutt (12) were the other two Virginia Tech players in double-figures in the contest.

🔼 Getting Close! This holiday season the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Virginia Tech is once again partnering with the Boys & Girls Club to purchase gifts for over 200 children in our community through the Adopt-A-Family initiative.

Their goal is to raise $6,000 by December 5th  to purchase these presents for them! They will also throw parties at the participating schools (Eastern Montgomery High, Eastern Montgomery Elementary, Shawsville Middle and Christiansburg Middle School to pass out the gifts, celebrate the holiday season and the student's hard work.

Donations will be accepted through December 5th .

SAAC will be able to purchase gifts on the student’s holiday wish list. Items in the past have included: art sets, basketballs, Legos, Amazon gift cards and more.

🔼 Writing HERstory. For junior golfer Valentine Delon, golf has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember.

Born and raised in Paris, France, she jokes that her golf journey began “at birth,” after her parents placed a tiny club in her hands as a baby. What started as playful afternoons on the course with her parents quickly became a lifelong passion, one that would carry her across continents, through moments of triumph, and challenges alike.
