🔼 Home For The Holidays. As the semester wraps up in Blacksburg, the Hokies are enjoying some time at Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum with four non-conference home games on tap this week.
Women’s hoops kicks off the busy few days with a Wednesday night date with Presbyterian at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, the men’s squad looks to continue their strong play at home with a battle with Western Carolina.
Sunday brings us a hoops doubleheader, first with the men against Maryland Eastern Shore at 12 pm, followed by a 4 pm women’s tilt with ETSU.
🔼 Sonny’s Special. The eighth-ranked Virginia Tech wrestling program wrapped up a busy weekend, competing against national competition at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and the Patriot Open.
In total, the Hokies placed a total of six wrestlers on the podium between the two events led by Sonny Sasso’s title at the Patriot Open on Sunday.

🔼 The Slye Guy. Seven years into his NFL career and former Hokie Joey Slye is still doing his thing on Sundays.
In yesterday’s 31-28 win for the Titans, Slye connected on four PATs and a 41-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter, which eventually turned into the game-winner for Tennessee.
On the season, Slye has hit 22 field goals and 17 PATs. He’s on pace to eclipse 100+ points in a season for the third time in his career.
🏈 A NEW ERA IN BLACKSBURG
The 2026 recruiting class has officially taken shape in Blacksburg. Virginia Tech Football welcomed 22 recruits last week, the product of an unwavering recruiting effort spearheaded by first-year head coach James Franklin and his staff.
The Hokies, who now find themselves with a nationally ranked top-25 recruiting class for the first time since 2019, landed eight four-star prospects—tied for the most-ever in program history (2019). Franklin now owns a 13-year streak of top-25 classes.
