Good Morning, Tech Fam. We can’t wait for scenes like this to return soon!

What else are we covering in today’s edition, Hokies?

⚾️ The Boys Are Back
🏈 Scouting The Slate
🏊 Making Waves
🦃 And much, much more!

Virginia Tech Football’s 2026 Spring Game presented by Eagle Construction
is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with an afternoon kickoff time to be determined.

The game will be free admission and open to the public.

🔼 The Boys Are Back. Friday, Friday, Friday.

The Virginia Tech baseball team returns to the diamond this Friday when the Hokies open up their 2026 campaign with a three-game set against in-state foe, William & Mary. First pitch schedule for the weekend are 4 pm (Friday), 4 pm (Saturday) and 1 pm (Sunday).

🔼 Turnin’ Heads. Helping lead those Hokies this season is a fresh face on the mound, Aiden Robertson, who late last week was named to the 2026 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division I Preseason All-America Fourth Team.

Despite having yet to make his NCAA Division I debut, Robertson demonstrated coveted potential during his sophomore season (2025) at Walters State Community College, where he went 13-1 with a 4.12 ERA, recording 130 strikeouts through 89 and two-thirds innings pitched.

During the 2025 MLB Draft, Robertson was selected during the 13th round by the Texas Rangers at No. 385 overall – above Virginia Tech’s entire 2025 draft class – though declined to sign in favor of continuing his collegiate career with the Hokies in the ever-competitive ACC.

🔼 Scouting The Slate. It’s never too early to start scouting for the fall, right?

As the 2026 season creeps ever closer for Coach Franklin and the Hokies, fans are finally getting their first look at who the team will face on the gridiron this fall.

While competition promises to excite in Lane Stadium this season, the Hokies will play half of their 12 games in 2026 on the road. Of the six contests, five will be ACC matchups, giving the Hokies plenty of inter-conference matchups towards the middle and end of the season.

Let’s take a look at the road opponents awaiting the Hokies in 2026.

🔼 Making Waves. It was yet another successful weekend in the pool for the Virginia Tech swimming & diving.

Leading the way was Jakub Poliacik, who posted a school record performance in the 1000 free (8:56.52). Poliacik and his men’s swimming & diving teammates earned a spot in this week’s latest rankings, sitting at #21 nationally.

On the boards, Peyton Guziec and Jacob Fisher logged first-place finishes on 3m.
