Unbeaten Hokies Climb Into Top-20 In Latest National Polls

Good Morning, Tech Fam. After an undefeated opening weekend, these Hokies are climbing the charts fast.

🔼 Chart Climbers. When you go 5-0 on opening weekend, including two top-15 wins, you’re going to turn some heads.
That’s exactly what the Virginia Tech softball squad did, climbing their way up the national polls to as high as #14 in two of the four polls.
Up next is a weekend in Charlotte to face off against the likes of Villanova, Michigan State and the host, Charlotte. Michigan State is coming off a win over #13 Clemson last weekend.
🗓️ The 2026 Softball Schedule
🔼 Tiger Tussle. With the final few weeks of ACC play on the horizon, the Virginia Tech men’s basketball team is back on the road tonight as they take on the 20th-ranked Tigers of Clemson.
With seven league games remaining, the Hokies find themselves right in the middle of the pack as they look to make a move up the standings heading into the ACC Tournament next month.
Tip time tonight in Clemson is set for 7 pm.
Virginia Tech Football’s 2026 Spring Game presented by Eagle Construction
is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with an afternoon kickoff time to be determined.
The game will be free admission and open to the public.
🔼 Reunited And It Feels So Good. Two of Virginia Tech’s own have been reunited on the pitch.
Recently, Tech alum Emily Gray signed a deal with Glasgow City FC, which runs until the summer of 2027. One of the most prolific players in Hokie history, Gray joins the Scottish club from Utah Royals FC in the NWSL after being on loan for two seasons.
She will join fellow Hokie alum, Nicole Kozlova, at Glasgow City, who has been with the club since July 2024 on a two-year contract.
🔼 Teeing Off. Playing in their first tournament of the spring, the Virginia Tech men’s golf squad logged an eighth-place finish in a field that featured two ranked opponents.
Senior Gareth Steyn led the way for the Hokies with a top-15 finish after firing a 4-under for the three rounds.

The two breakdown the recent game against NC State, check-in on notable players, expectations for the upcoming trip to California. Later, first-year General Manager Stephen Fishler joins the program.
🤔 HOKIE TRIVIA
Sophomore sensation Bree Carrico played a critical role in the Hokies’ unbeaten opening weekend in South Carolina, picking up two saves and a win in Virginia Tech’s five-game sweep.
She is now one of seven players nationally with two saves already this season.
