🔼 Win Out West. Virginia Tech women’s hoops improved to 19-7 overall and 9-5 in ACC play late Thursday night, beating Stanford out on the West Coast, 79-67.

Carys Baker led five Hokies in double figures with 24 points, followed by Kilah Freelon (15), Carleigh Wenzel (13), Mackenzie Nelson (13) and Mel Daley (10).

The Hokies will stick around in the Bay area over the weekend, tipping off at Cal this Sunday.

🔼 Mat Madness. The sixth-ranked Virginia Tech wrestling team will be tested this weekend at Cassell Coliseum, first hosting ACC foe No. 13 North Carolina (9-3) today at 8 p.m. before stepping outside of conference action to welcome No. 3 Oklahoma State (13-1) on Sunday afternoon!

With a win against the Tar Heels tonight, the Hokies would clinch an ACC regular season championship for the second season in a row.

🤼 Five Reasons To Attend This Weekend’s Matches

Virginia Tech Football’s 2026 Spring Game presented by Eagle Construction
is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with an afternoon kickoff time to be determined.

The game will be free admission and open to the public.

🔼 First Pitch. Virginia Tech baseball kicks off the 2026 campaign this weekend, hosting William & Mary for a three-game set beginning today at 3 p.m. at English Field.

Originally scheduled for a traditional Friday-Saturday-Sunday series, anticipated bad weather on Sunday has required the Hokies and Tribe to instead play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
