On the latest edition of the Level 7 Podcast, it’s a can’t miss conversation between Bill Roth, Mike Burnop and Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Brent Pry.

🔼 Feelin’ 22. It didn’t take the Virginia Tech baseball team long to get started on Tuesday in Harrisonburg.
In the first 10 pitches of the ballgame, the Hokies had a 2-0 sparked by Owen Petrich’s RBI triple, which proved to be a critical moment in Tech’s 5-4 win over JMU.
With the victory, the Hokies move to 7-1 on the season, the best start to a season since 2022.
🔼 Risin’ Up. When you beat a top-15 team in the country on the road not just once, but twice, you’re going to turn some heads.
The Virginia Tech softball team rose up the national rankings this week, making the biggest jump in the country, moving up eight spots to #12 in the latest polls.
A trip to Auburn for a five-game weekend is on deck for the Hokies.
🔼 We’ll Take Two. The Virginia Tech men’s track & field program decided to double up on the weekly accolades this week.
Yekini Bowen earned the ACC Men’s Indoor Field Performer of the Week honor, while the men’s distance medley relay team was named the ACC Men’s Indoor Track Performers of the Week.
🔼 Staff Spotlight. With 15 seasons of experience coaching running backs at the Division I level, Norval McKenzie brings quite a resume on the gridiron.
But for McKenzie, coaching is just part of a greater purpose.
Virginia Tech Football’s 2026 Spring Game presented by Eagle Construction
is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with an afternoon kickoff time to be determined.
The game will be free admission and open to the public.
