🔼 Texas Tussles. For the first time this spring, the Virginia Tech baseball team will leave the Commonwealth and head to the Lonestar State for three monster match-ups at the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series in Arlington.
Playing at Globe Life Field, home of the MLB’s Texas Rangers, the Hokies will square off with #23 Texas A&M (today at 8 pm), #4 Mississippi State (Saturday at 4 pm) and #20 Tennessee (Sunday at 11:30 am) at one of the premiere events in college baseball.
All three games will be available on FloSports.
🔼 And They’re Off. The Virginia Tech track & field squads laced ‘em up and got things started at the 2026 ACC Indoor Championships with action kicking off at the three-day event.
Highlighting the first night was men’s DMR, consisting of Samuel Idiens, Calvin Meyer, Benjamin Reynolds, Roan Kelly, who earned the Hokies five points with a fifth-place finish in the event.
Friday’s action will be full of prelims with Saturday’s final day being jam packed with action from Boston.
🔼 Swingin’ Down South. The 12th-ranked Virginia Tech softball squad is back down south as the Hokies are set for a five-game weekend at the Jane B. Moore Memorial, hosted by Auburn.
Tech will face off with USC Upstate twice, Auburn twice and Troy once, beginning this afternoon with a 2 pm tilt with the Spartans.
🔼 Opportunity Knocks. The regular season is winding down for the Virginia Tech hoops squad and opportunity knocks this weekend for the Hokies.
First up, the men travel to 18th-ranked North Carolina for a Saturday Night showdown on ESPN2. Tip time is set for 8:30 pm.
On Sunday, the women wrap up the regular season with a Smithfield Commonwealth Clash battle in Charlottesville. The Hokies are locked in a battle with six other teams vying for a top-four spot in next week’s ACC Tournament. Tip-time on the ACC Network is set for 12 pm.
Virginia Tech Football’s 2026 Spring Game presented by Eagle Construction
is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with an afternoon kickoff time to be determined.
The game will be free admission and open to the public.

In Sunday’s win over Georgia Tech, redshirt junior guard Carleigh Wenzel reached 1,000 career points at Virginia Tech.
