🏈 THEY’RE BACKKK

Coach Franklin and the Hokies officially kicked off Spring Ball on Tuesday with the first of 15 practices leading up to the Spring Game on April 18th.

🔼 Region’s Finest. It didn’t take long for Amani Hansberry to make an impact with the Virginia Tech men’s basketball program.

After his first season with the Hokies, Hansberry was recognized by the NABC as a first team All-East Region player. He also earned All-ACC Honorable Mention accolades this postseason.

In his first season with the Hokies, Hansberry started all 30 of his appearances in maroon and orange. The team’s leading scorer, he has averaged 14.3 points per game with an efficient 49.2% field goal percentage. His 7.4 rebounds per game rank tenth in the conference and the Silver Spring, Maryland native’s eight double-doubles rank fourth amongst ACC athletes.

🔼 Three Of A Kind. Three different Hokies scored two goals apiece as the Virginia Tech lacrosse squad rolled to a third straight victory, grabbing a 9-4 road win at High Point on Tuesday night.

Sarah Murrell, Cassandra Montgomery and Reese Wallich all had multi-goal performances, while Malie Follet and the defense stifled the Panthers, limiting them to just one second half goal.

The Diamond Hokies hit the field today with the baseball boys returning to English Field to host in-state foe, VCU, this afternoon at 3 pm.

Just an hour later, the 13th-ranked softball team takes on Longwood in Farmville for a midweek doubleheader.
