Hokies Set To Open Play At 2026 ACC Women's Hoops Tournament

🏆 TOURNEY TIME
All the early morning workouts. All the late night film sessions. All the blood, sweat and tears were for moments like this.
Today, the Hokies open play in the second round of the 2026 ACC Tournament at Gas South Arena in Duluth, Ga.
Tech earned the sixth-seed and now plays Georgia Tech tonight at 7:30 pm on the ACC Network. The winner advances to take on third-seeded UNC in the quarterfinals on Friday at 7:30 pm.
🔼 Defending Their Crown. The women’s hoops team isn’t the only one hunting trophies this weekend.
After seven years, the ACC Wrestling Championship makes its return to Cassell Coliseum as Virginia Tech wrestling looks to defend its title at home. Finishing the season atop the Atlantic Coast Conference with a regular season conference title and ranked sixth nationally, Tech will look to defend its ACC Tournament crown on Sunday, March 8.
The Hokies field ten ranked wrestlers entering the first test of the post season with eyes set on another title and looking to send ten wrestlers to the NCAA Championships in two weeks with 39 allocations on the line this Sunday.
🔼 Tickets Punched. Six members of the Virginia Tech track & field squad will continue their indoor postseason campaigns as they earned spots at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. next weekend (March 13-14).
On the women’s side, Chiara Sistermann will represent Tech in the pole vault, while George Couttie (mile, 3000m and DMR), Dylan DeCambre (DMR), Calvin Meyer (DMR), Christian Jackson (DMR) and Nate Paris (heptathlon) all will be competing on the men’s side.
🔼 Risin’ Up. After a strong showing at the ACC Indoor Championships, the Virginia Tech men’s track & field squad is on the move.
In this week’s national rankings by the USTFCCCA, the Hokies jumped two spots and now sit #13 in the country with NCAA Indoor Championships right around the corner.
