🔼 Marchin’ On. The cliché saying this time of year is “survive and advance.”

The Virginia Tech women’s hoops team did just that on Thursday night, using a huge second quarter to march into the ACC Quarterfinals with a 62-54 victory over Georgia Tech.

Carleigh Wenzel led the Hokies with 15 points and a complete game from Mackenzie Nelson, 14 points, a career-high nine rebounds and six assists were the catalyst for a Tech team that moves into the Quarterfinal round for the first time since 2024.

🔼 Perfect 10. Four straight RBI hits led to five first inning runs for the 11th-ranked Virginia Tech softball team, who kicked off the 2026 Hokie Invite with a 5-3 victory over Michigan.

The win is the 10th straight for the Hokies, who now sit at 17-2 overall.

Emma Mazzarone picked up the win with five strong innings of work, while sophomore sensation Bree Carrico tossed two scoreless innings of relief to record her third save of the season.

🔼 The Quest Begins. After seven years, the ACC Wrestling Championship makes its return to Cassell Coliseum as Virginia Tech wrestling looks to defend its title at home.

Finishing the season atop the Atlantic Coast Conference with a regular season conference title and ranked sixth nationally, Tech will look to defend its ACC Tournament crown on Sunday, March 8.

The Hokies field ten ranked wrestlers entering the first test of the post season with eyes set on another title and looking to send ten wrestlers to the NCAA Championships in two weeks with 39 allocations on the line this Sunday.
