The first sneak peek of the Hokies under the guidance of Coach Franklin and his staff is set for tomorrow at Lane Stadium at 3 p.m. with kickoff of the Spring Game as part of the Hokie Hi festivities.

The Virginia Tech women’s golf team hit the course on the first day of the 2026 ACC Championships in Wilmington, N.C. and enter the final round of stroke play within striking distance of a chance to advance to match play.

The Hokies sit at 4-over after the first two rounds, good for ninth overall, but just five shots back of sixth-place Clemson, who currently holds the final spot in match play.

🔼 Community Connections. Before hitting the field this weekend at Lane Stadium, members of the Virginia Tech Football program connecting with local businesses and professionals at the first-ever “Hokie Huddle.”

The evening brought together football student-athletes and members of the local community in an effort to build professional connections for the future.

🔼 Brotherly Love. For the past four seasons, Hokie Nation has become familiar with placekicker John Love. Hailing from Spartanburg, South Carolina, the redshirt senior has become an integral part of Virginia Tech football, demonstrated by pinpoint accuracy and a booming leg that has proven to be a reliable weapon.

For the first time in their shared careers, John and Will Love – brothers who have both found great success in the kicking department – are joining forces on the gridiron. In Southwest Virginia, where family ties have long been part of the fabric of the Tech program, the pair becomes the latest in a line of more than 30 sets of brothers who have suited up for the Hokies since 1987.
