Hokie fans will have the opportunity to take their Spring Game experience to the next level with Maroon and Orange Memories, a collection of can’t-miss moments that place the fan in the center of the action. 

Maroon and Orange Memories are the best way to enhance what is already an electric gameday atmosphere. From behind-the-scenes looks at the Hokies to entertainment beyond the gridiron, fans can make their trip to Blacksburg one for the history books.

🔼 Turning Passion Into Purpose. Golf was never just a hobby for Emily Mathews. Growing up with a now-professional golfer as a brother, Mathews knew from a young age that her dream was to excel at what she knew best: golf.

Born in El Paso, Texas, and then moving to Raleigh, North Carolina, where she spent most of her adolescence, Mathews didn’t learn her love for the game like most. Her older brother, Nick Mathews, was playing for NC State when she was just nine years old.  

⛳️ Writing HERstory: Emily Mathews’ Focus on the Fairway

🔼 Turnin’ Two. Following 12th-ranked Virginia Tech’s dominant sweep at Boston College, Jordan Lynch has been named ACC Player of the Week, while Emma Mazzarone was tabbed ACC Pitcher of the Week. 

Mazzarone garnered back-to-back honors as she won ACC Pitcher of the Week for the first time in her career on March 24. This is the first ACC weekly honor for Lynch.

🔼 For The Kids. Not only will Hokie fans have a chance to check out the Spring Game on April 18th, but the future of the Tech community will have a chance to join in on the spirit squad fun.

The Hokie Spirit squads will be hosting their Youth Clinic on Hokie Hi Weekend on April 18th with a chance to perform on the field at Lane Stadium before the spring game.

Participants will receive a t-shirt to wear, but we do encourage them to wear their favorite VT Cheerleading outfits if they have them.
