🎟️ PLANNING AHEAD

The countdown to the 2026 Virginia Tech football season is on. With head coach James Franklin at the helm, impactful transfers and a top-25 recruiting class, excitement is building in Blacksburg. Virginia Tech Athletics has unveiled a full lineup of ticket options for fans to experience gameday in Lane Stadium, from season tickets to single-game and group offerings. 

Designed with flexibility, value, and convenience in mind, these offerings provide something for every fan. New for 2026, all-in pricing provides clear, upfront costs on every product, making it easier than ever to find the right option within your budget, with no surprises at checkout. The goal is simple: a packed Lane Stadium for all six home games this fall. 

🔼 Eye On The Prize. Playing against one of the toughest conference fields, the Virginia Tech men’s golf squad has its eyes on the prize as action at the 2026 ACC Championships get underway this morning.

Over the next three days, the Hokies will hit the course at Shark’s Tooth Golf Club in Lake Powell, Fla. looking to secure a spot in the top-eight teams. Those eight will advance to match play, which is set to be played on Sunday and Monday.

⛳️ Tournament Central

🔼 Ballin’ Out. Playing in front of a crowd full of professional scouts, former Virginia Tech forward Tobi Lawal balled out at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

Lawal averaged 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3. blocks per game, while shooting 48.3-percent from the field and 41.7-percent from beyond the arc. Lawal put his elite athleticism on display throughout the tournament.

🔼 Here To Stay. A longtime mainstay on the Virginia Tech men’s hoops sideline is here to stay.

On Wednesday, Head Coach Mike Young announced that Associate Head Coach Chester Frazier has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him in Blacksburg through the 2026-27 season. Frazier, who just completed his third season overall with the program, rejoined the Hokies in April of 2025 after four seasons away from Blacksburg, that featured stints at Illinois and West Virginia.

Frazier brought more than a decade of coaching experience from the ACC, Big 12 and Big Ten conferences to the Tech men’s basketball program when he moved back to Blacksburg in 2025. This past season, forward Amani Hansberry who has been under Frazier’s tutelage his entire collegiate career, emerged as an All-ACC honorable mention student-athlete after leading the Hokies in scoring in 2025-26.
