Hokies Roll To Dominant Win Over JMU
Good morning, Tech Fam. Hokie Nation, you guys are truly the best!
What else are we covering in today’s edition, Hokies?
⚾️ Midweek Mashing
🏈 Can’t Miss This
⛳️ Lookin’ To Dance
🦃 And much, much more!
🏈 CAN’T MISS THIS!
This week, Virginia Tech Athletics announced themed group offerings for the upcoming 2026 football season, giving fans even more ways to experience the excitement of gameday at Lane Stadium.
With the highly anticipated debut of head coach James Franklin in Blacksburg, momentum around the Hokies is building fast.
Discounted tickets are now available for groups of 10 or more, giving your crew the chance to see Franklin’s squad in action during themed gamedays packed with unforgettable moments, exclusive experiences and unbeatable Hokie spirit. From youth groups and educators to military members and local organizations, there’s an option for everyone to celebrate in Lane Stadium.
🔼 Midweek Mashing. A complete effort led the Virginia Tech Baseball team led the Hokies to their seventh win in the past nine games in a dominant 14-1 midweek victory over in-state foe, JMU.
Five Hokies had multi-hit performances led by Nick Locurto, who went 3-for-5 on the night. Tech pounded out 16 hits on the night, four of the extra-base variety, including Ethan Ball’s 11th HR of the season.
Brady Roe picked up the win on the mound as he was one of five Tech hurlers to limit the Dukes to just five hits on the night.
🔼 Looking To Dance. For the fifth time in the past six seasons, the Virginia Tech women’s golf team is looking to dance yet again.
At 4 pm today on the Golf Channel, the 2026 Division I NCAA Regionals will be unveiled with qualifiers split into six regional sites.
All six regionals will be contested May 11-13 over 54 holes with the top five teams at each site advancing to the NCAA Championship, set for May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
🔼 Home Away From Home. Hailing from Syracuse, New York, where harsh winters and a deep-rooted lacrosse culture shape athletes early, Mia Pozzi didn’t come to Virginia Tech searching for an easy path. She was looking for something simpler, a place that felt right and like home.
Growing up in a lacrosse environment, Pozzi developed a level of toughness and grit that followed her to Blacksburg, even if she didn’t fully realize it at the time.
