🏈 CROWDED HOUSE

Demand for Virginia Tech Athletics football continues to surge heading into the 2026 season, as the Lane Lounge inside Lane Stadium has officially sold out for the upcoming campaign.

Combined with the previously sold-out club seating inventory, the Lane Lounge sellout marks the fastest premium seating sellout in program history and further reflects the momentum surrounding the James Franklin in Blacksburg.

With premium inventory at an all-time high demand, the Sandman Suites are the only remaining premium seating option for the 2026 season

🔼 Ballin’ Out. If Dick Vitale was calling the 2026 ACC Baseball Tournament, he would absolutely be calling Ethan Ball a “diaper dandy” after his performance in Tech’s opening game in Charlotte.

Ball reached base in all six of his plate appearances, including two HRs, two walks and two hit by pitches. He finished with four runs scored and three RBIs as the Hokies cranked up the offense in a 17-10 victory over 10th-seeded Notre Dame on Wednesday.

Logan Eisenreich came out of the pen for the Hokies to toss 4.2 strong innings, allowing just one earned run, while striking out six to earn the victory on the mound.

Up next for Tech, a Friday afternoon date with second-seeded North Carolina. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.

🔼 Young Guns. The future of Virginia Tech Softball is incredibly bright and a pair of freshmen sensations are leading the way.

On Wednesday, Bree Carrico and Jordan Lynch were recognized for their outstanding debut seasons earning Freshmen All-American accolades from SoftballAmerica.

Lynch was one of the Hokies offensive stars all season long, leading the squad with a .414 average and 70 runs scored. She also tied for the team lead in HRs with 18.

Carrico was lights out in the circle for Tech, piling up a 15-2 record and five saves, while posting a team-leading ERA of just 1.88. She struck out 126 hitters in 115.2 innings of work.

🤔 HOKIE TRIVIA

With his two-HR performance against Notre Dame, Ethan Ball now has 15 long balls in his debut season with the Hokies.

That marks ties him with which former Tech standout for the most by a freshman in the ACC era?
