Hokies Earn No. 2 Seed At Los Angeles Regional
Good morning, Tech Fam. Don’t unpack those bags just yet boys, we’ve got some more traveling to do!
What else are we covering in today’s edition, Hokies?
⚾️ California Dreamin’
🏀 So Fresh, So Clean
🦃 And much, much more!
🔼 California Dreamin’. For the 12th time spanning program history and the first time since 2022, the Virginia Tech baseball team has been selected to compete in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, earning an at-large berth into the 2026 field on Monday courtesy of its robust regular season metrics.
Virginia Tech (30-24) was named the No. 2 seed in the 2026 NCAA Los Angeles Regional, to be hosted by top-seeded UCLA – the tournament’s No. 1 national seed – at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Los Angeles, California from Friday, May 29, to Monday, June 1.
The Hokies will open the four-team, double-elimination regional on May 29 against third-seeded Cal Poly. Game time is set for 8 p.m. ET.
🔼 So Fresh, So Clean. Summer may just be getting started, but very soon, the gym will be filled with Hokies getting extra work in to prepare for next season.
Both Virginia Tech basketball squads will be working in some newly renovated facilities as Hahn Hurst Practice Courts got a bit of a glow up in the offseason.
🏈 PACKED HOUSE
Demand for Virginia Tech Athletics football continues to surge heading into the 2026 season, as the Lane Lounge inside Lane Stadium has officially sold out for the upcoming campaign.
Combined with the previously sold-out club seating inventory, the Lane Lounge sellout marks the fastest premium seating sellout in program history and further reflects the momentum surrounding the James Franklin era in Blacksburg.
With premium inventory at an all-time high demand, the Sandman Suites are the only remaining premium seating option for the 2026 season.
🤔 HOKIE TRIVIA
