🔼 Class Acts. The success of the Hokies weren’t limited to the playing field this spring.
It was a record-setting semester in the classroom for Virginia Tech athletics with a monster performance in the classroom.
The Hokie student-athletes combined for a 3.42 spring term GPA and a 3.38 department cumulative GPA for the 2025-26 school year, which both set records.
🔼 The Lynch Pin. Add another line to the lengthy resume of sophomore sensation Jordan Lynch.
Lynch was one of the Hokies offensive stars all season long, leading the squad with a .414 average and 70 runs scored. She also tied for the team lead in HRs with 18.
🔼 And Another One. Add another piece to the puzzle for the Virginia Tech men’s basketball program.
This week, head coach Mike Young and the Hokies announced the signing of 6-foot-1 guard Jaylen Curry Tuesday morning. Curry, who recently finished his junior season at Oklahoma State, started seven times in 31 games, averaging 10.1 points per game.
This past season, Curry scored in double figures 19 times including a streak of seven consecutive games down the stretch. His season-high of 30 points came in a November game against Nicholls where he went 8-11 from the field and made all 12 free throw attempts. The Charlotte native also contributed 3.2 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists for the Cowboys.
