With the three victories, the Hokies conclude the regular season with a 44-9 mark, the most regular season wins since 2019 (45). At 18-6 in league play, Tech earned a top-four seed and a bye into the quarterfinals at this week’s ACC Tournament.
It was a complete team effort for the Hokies, who scored 37 runs, racked up 35 hits and hit nine HRs over the weekend. In the circle, Tech hurlers allowed just eight hits and four runs total on the weekend, while piling up 15 strikeouts.

🔼 Earned His Invite. The high-flyin’ Tobi Lawal is heading to the Windy City.
After a stellar showing at last month’s Portsmouth Invitational Tournament and two highlight-reel filled seasons with the Virginia Tech men’s hoops program, Lawal is headed to the NBA Draft Combine next week in Chicago.
Lawal is one of only 73 players invited to the prestigious event.
🔼 California Dreamin’. The right arms of Brett Renfrow and Logan Eisenreich delivered a third-straight ACC series victory for the Virginia Tech Baseball squad, who took two-of-three at Cal over the weekend.
The Hokies secured a 9-1 win in the series opener on Friday and clinched the series the next day with a 6-2 victory over the Golden Bears.
Renfrow and Eisenreich combined to allow just six hits and rack up 17 strikeouts in 12 innings of work in the pair of Hokies’ wins.
🔼 Breaking Records. It was a record-setting weekend for senior Katrin Bryzszkowska, who led nine total Hokies in etching their names in the all-time top-10 for the Virginia Tech Track & Field program.
Brzyszkowska recorded a best of 57-ft, 1-in to cement herself as Virginia Tech’s all-time outdoor shot put record holder, taking the win at the Jim Green Invitational.
The 800-meter crew of Kenza Elakari (for the women) and Dylan DeCambre (for the men) both posted personal-bests and earned spots in the Hokies’ all-time top-10.
In the 1500m, Katie Bohlke won the event at the Hill City Twilight with a personal-best 4:14.40, moving up to No. 8 on Virginia Tech’s all-time list, while on the men’s side George Couttie finished second with an outdoor-best 3:37.01, good for No. 2 on the all-time list.
