🔼 Tourney Time. Coming off a sweep of Syracuse, the Virginia Tech softball squad clinched the No. 3 seed in the ACC Softball Championship, which will be held at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Va., from May 6-9.
The Hokies earned a first-round bye and will play the winner of No. 6 Virginia/No. 11 Pitt on Thursday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m.
This season, Tech won six ACC series to finish at 18-6 within the conference.
🔼 Welcome Back. One of United States wrestling's most recognizable figureheads and mainstays has chosen once again to call Blacksburg "home."
On Monday, Virginia Tech wrestling head coach Tony Robie announced the addition of former University of Nebraska wrestling legend James Green as assistant coach to the Hokies' coaching staff.
Not unfamiliar to Blacksburg after spending time with the Southeast Regional Training Center as a resident-athlete from 2020-2022, the Willingboro, New Jersey native returns to Blacksburg to join Robie and staff once again ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
🔼 On The Move. The Tyrod Taylor tour is headed north.
For the first time since 2021, the former Hokie standout is leaving New York after signing a free-agent contract with the Green Bay Packers this week.
Green Bay will be Taylor’s eighth NFL club and his 16th NFL season. He has appeared in 100 games over his career, including 62 starts.
