Hokies, Cavaliers Set To Square Off In ACC Quarterfinals Tonight
Good morning, Tech Fam. Oh what a night it was!
What else are we covering in today’s edition, Hokies?
🥎 It’s Showtime
🏀 Signed, Sealed, Delivered

🔼 It’s Showtime. All the early mornings. All the extra rounds of batting practice. All the work in the weight room.
It’s all built up to this week in Charlottesville as the 16th-ranked Virginia Tech Softball team opens up play at the 2026 ACC Championship.
Tonight, the Hokies square off with sixth-seeded UVA in the quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. on the ACC Network.
🔼 What A Haul. Even before stepping on the field in Charlottesville tonight, the Hokies are already bringing back quite a haul after the announcement of the yearly All-ACC awards.
Highlighting the accolades for Tech was Bree Carrico, who was tabbed ACC Freshman of the Year.
Carrico and Jordan Lynch join forces on this year’s All-ACC First Team. The Hokies also combined for six selections on the All-ACC Second Team: Kylie Aldridge, Nora Abromavage, Rachel Castine, Michelle Chatfield, Addison Foster and Emma Mazzarone.
🔼 Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Head Coach Mike Young and his Virginia Tech men’s basketball staff added a big, quite literally, addition this weekend out of the transfer portal.
Young and the Hokies welcome, Miles Heide, a 6-foot-9 forward from San Diego State to Blacksburg for the 2026-27 season.
The North Bend, Washington native recently finished his junior season at San Diego State averaged 3.7 points per game in 99 career games at SDSU, where he made 40 starts.
🔼 Straight Cooke-in. No better time to be playing your best baseball than crunch time, right?
That’s exactly what the Virginia Tech Baseball squad is doing after a big time 8-4 mid-week victory over in-state foe, Liberty, on Tuesday evening in Lynchburg.
Behind a monster offensive night from Henry Cooke (2-for-3, 2 runs scored, 3 RBIs and a HR), the Hokies won for the 10th time in the past 13 games.
Tech returns home for the final two games at English Field in 2026 when UNCG rolls into town for a Saturday and Sunday series.
