🎙️ YOU ASKED, HE ANSWERED

Bill Roth is joined by Virginia Tech Director of Athletics Brian White to discuss his first month on the job, new additions to his staff and answers many fan questions as submitted by members of Hokie Nation.

🏈 SECURE YOUR SPOT

Hokie fans now have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets with location for the 2026 season and secure their seats for an exciting new chapter of Hokie football head coach James Franklin

🔼 Head Of The Table. On Monday, the ACC announced that Virginia Tech President Timothy D. Sands has ascended to the role of Chair of the ACC Board of Directors and Pittsburgh Chancellor and CEO Joan Gabel will serve as Vice-Chair for the 2026-27 academic year.

The ACC Board of Directors — comprised of the presidents and chancellors of the Conference's 18 member institutions — provides strategic oversight and governance for the league.

🔼 En Fuego. The weather isn’t the only thing heating up right now. Former Virginia Tech standout Gavin Cross is red hot for the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers and on Monday, he was named the International League Player of the Week.

Cross went 12-for-27 (.444 average) at the plate during Omaha’s road series against the Salt Lake Bees. The outfielder connected for 2 doubles, 2 triples and 5 home runs for a Minor League-leading 33 total bases.

He drove in a Triple-A best 10 runs and scored 9 runs in his six games last week. The former Hokie also added 3 stolen bases and 2 walks, recording multi-hit games in each of the first 5 games of the series.

Cross’ 5 home runs came in the final 5 games of the series in Utah, becoming the fourth full-season Minor League player in 2026 to homer in 5 consecutive games, but the first to do so in 5 consecutive days.

🔼 Setting The Course. We are just six weeks away from the Virginia Tech cross country programs returning to the course.

On Monday, Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Ben Thomas unveiled the Hokies’ full fall slate for the cross country season.
