Kickoff is almost here, which means Fan Day is close!
Virginia Tech will host its annual Fan Day on THIS SUNDAY, August 16 from 4-5 p.m. ET, offering Hokie fans a special opportunity to meet the Hokies' student-athletes as excitement continues to build for a new era of football in Blacksburg.
🔼 Let The Games Begin. The time has finally come.
For the first time in 286 days (not that we’ve been counting or anything), the Virginia Tech women’s soccer squad will step back on the pitch TONIGHT for the 2026 season opener.
The Hokies welcome in-state foe Old Dominion to town as the first official contest of the 2026-27 athletic calendar for Tech Athletics.
🔼 Locked In. Bring out your sharpie, we’ve got dates to lock in as head coach Mike Young and the Virginia Tech men’s basketball program released the Hokies’ 2026-27 non-conference slate on Wednesday, headlined by at least five Power Four matchups.
Those include neutral site dates with Iowa and UCF, a trip to Morgantown to take on West Virginia and a home contest in the previously announced SEC/ACC Challenge against Ole Miss. The Hokies will also compete in the 2026 Shriner’s Children’s Charleston Classic.
Non-conference single-game ticket details will be announced at a later date.
🔼 Campin’ Out. Preseason camp is well underway for the Hokies and this week, sophomore linebacker Noah Chambers brought us inside practice in the latest edition of Mic’d Up.

🏈 COUNTIN’ DOWN: 2️⃣3️⃣ DAYS
Redshirt junior defensive back Thomas Williams is back for his fourth season in Blacksburg and looking to make an impact on the Hokies defensive unit this fall.
Over the past two seasons, the South Carolina native has played in all 25 games, including 10 starts last fall.
In his career, he has racked up 46 tackles, seven pass breakups and fumble recovery.
During his redshirt freshman year in 2024, he returned 13 kicks as well, averaging nearly 20 yards a return.
