🔼 Sunday Six Piece. A record-setting performance by the Virginia Tech women’s soccer team led the Hokies to a 2-0 start to the 2026 season after a dominant 6-0 victory over visiting VMI on Sunday afternoon at Thompson Field.
Anna Weir got the scoring started in the 34th minute and five other Hokies found the back of the net on a day in which Virginia Tech set a single-game record with 43 shots in the contest.
The win also marked head coach Chugger Adair’s 175th win, making him the seventh head coach in ACC women’s soccer history to eclipse the mark.

🔼 Making Waves. It may have been over two years since AJ Pouch swam for Virginia Tech, but he’s still reppin’ the Hokies amongst some of the world’s best.
This past weekend, Pouch had a strong showing at the Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine, California.
The former Hokie earned two top-15 finishes, highlighted by a sixth-place showing in the 200m breaststroke on Saturday night.
🏈 COUNTIN’ DOWN: 1️⃣9️⃣ DAYS

On Friday, we highlighted “TD Lee”, today, we highlighted one of his former Hokie teammates, #1️⃣9️⃣ Ernest Wilford.
Wilford is one of the most prolific pass catchers in Virginia Tech history, graduating as the program’s all-time leader in receptions with 126. He was a two-time All-BIG EAST honoree and finished with 2,052 career yards receiving and 11 TDs.
He still remains the program’s all-time leader in single-game receiving yards (279) and receiving TDs (4).
After spending seven years in the NFL, Wilford now serves the community as a member of the Jacksonville Police Department.
