🔼 Super Seidel. Not too shabby of a world debut for super sophomore Aaron Seidel of the Virginia Tech wrestling program.
Squaring off with last year’s runner-up in the first round, Seidel put everyone on notice with a tech fall victory and rolled to a perfect 4-0 record on the opening day of the U20 World Championships.
He now is set to take the mat at 12 pm ET today in the U20 World Championship match.
🔼 Super Seniors. The preseason accolades continue to roll in for the Virginia Tech Football squad.
On Thursday, the veteran duo of defensive tackle, Kemari Copeland and tight end, Luke Reynolds, were named to the Senior Bowl Top 300 list, placing them among the top NFL Draft-eligible players in the country.

🔼 All Tied Up. And the unbeaten start continues for the Virginia Tech women’s soccer squad.
The Hokies came back twice to secure a 2-2 draw with the Liberty Flames on Thursday night at Thompson Field.
Lilli Lubic and Anna Weir each scored to help keep the Hokies undefeated this season.
🔼 Sunshine & Softball. For the first time since 2023 and third time in program history, Virginia Tech softball has been invited to the Shrine Children’s Clearwater Invitational (Feb. 18-21) at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla.
One of the most highly-regarded tournaments in college softball, Tech joins 10 other elite teams in the field. The full schedule will be released in November.
🏈 COUNTIN’ DOWN: 1️⃣5️⃣ DAYS
One of the best Virginia Tech QBs is a name that many Hokie fans may not really know about.
Don Strock torched the school record books during his time at Tech, owning nearly every school passing record when he graduated in 1972.
During his senior season, Strock led the country in total passing and total offense, earning a Third-Team All-American accolade.
He went on to have a 15-year career in the NFL, 13 of which came with the Miami Dolphins, where he was part of the 1973 Super Bowl Championship team.

To the best fans in the world: Thank you. In the 25-hour span of Triumph Together, 1,278 Hokie donors stepped up and raised $365,350 in support of over 500 student-athletes in Blacksburg, ranging across 37 states and seven countries.
This is an incredible feat, and we could not be more grateful for every single one of you. Your support provides the resources necessary for our student-athletes to compete for championships while pursuing a first-class education in Blacksburg.
We could not ask for a better way to kick off a year of Hokie sports! Once again, thank you for dedicated support of our student-athletes.
