🏈 COUNTIN’ DOWN: 3️⃣1️⃣ DAYS
Brandon Facyson played in the defensive backfield for the Hokies from 2013-17, collecting 131 career tackles, five interceptions and 39 passes defended in 54 career games at Virginia Tech.
🔼 Long List. Virginia Tech defensive tackle Kemari Copeland has earned more praise this week, with the preseason All-ACC selection finding himself on both the 2026 Bronko Nagurski and Outland Trophy Watch Lists.
Copeland enters the 2026 season as one of the anchors of Virginia Tech's defensive front. He started all 12 games for the Hokies in 2025, recording 48 tackles, including 11 solo stops, and 7.5 tackles for loss. Copeland led the team with 4.5 sacks while adding an interception and a quarterback hurry, emerging as one of the ACC's most disruptive interior defenders.
🔼 Snap Stud. Virginia Tech long snapper Christian Epling has been named to the watch list for the Mannelly Award, presented annually to the best FBS long snapper!
🔼 We’re So Back. Virginia Tech men’s soccer is officially back, with the Hokies holding their first day of practice this week — only two more days until the first exhibition match of the season at VCU!
🔼 Fan Day Incoming. The 2026 Virginia Tech football season is almost here, which means Fan Day is close!
Virginia Tech will host its annual Fan Day on Sunday, August 16 from 4-5 p.m. ET, offering Hokie fans a special opportunity to meet the Hokies' student-athletes as excitement continues to build for a new era of football in Blacksburg.
