Hokie fans have two more opportunities to make their trip to Lane Stadium even more memorable as new Maroon & Orange Memories experiences are now available for Virginia Tech's upcoming matchups against Pitt on Friday, Oct. 2 and Georgia Tech on Saturday, Oct. 17. 

Designed to bring fans closer to the action and create unforgettable gameday moments, Maroon & Orange Memories offers unique opportunities to celebrate special occasions, participate in exclusive gameday activities and take home Hokie-themed keepsakes. 

New experiences are now available for both the Pitt and Georgia Tech games, giving fans even more ways to make their day at Lane Stadium one to remember. 

Rocktoberfest is back Saturday, October 3rd, from 4 to 8 PM! It’s free, family-friendly, and packed with live music, local shops, food, drinks, and fall fun for the whole crew.

🔼 Dynamic Duo. Following monster performances in Saturday’s dominant win over Old Dominion, tight end Luke Reynolds earned ACC Receiver of the Week honors and defensive end Mylachi Williams grabbed ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week recognition.

Reynolds tallied eight receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns, all career-highs, averaging 13.5 yards per catch. The Westford, Mass., native also earned a spot on the PFF National Team Of The Week.

Williams recorded four tackles, 3.5 TFLs, including two sacks against the Monarchs. He also registered two sacks.

🔼 Coming Soon. The countdown to basketball season has officially begun!

Today, Virginia Tech Athletics is thrilled to unveil this season’s single-game ticket offers for both men’s and women’s nonconference matchups. 

As with all on-sales, Hokie Scholarship Fund donors as of March 1, 2026, and digital subscribers will receive first access for both men’s and women’s basketball. This is a great opportunity to purchase additional tickets for family and friends prior to the public.

Fans can unlock presale access by downloading the HokieSports mobile app and creating a profile to become a digital subscriber.

🔼 Swinging Away. Former Hokie standout Carson DeMartini is finishing his third season in pro ball in a big way.

With his team opening up the playoffs tonight in Reading, DeMartini was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season.

Over six games, DeMartini slashed .444/.607/.889 (1.496 OPS), along with nine runs scored, two doubles, two home runs, and seven RBI. The 23-year-old had three multi-hit games last week, including three on Thursday and two in each game on Saturday and Sunday. He also scored three runs on Thursday and Sunday.

For the week, the former Hokie held the following Eastern League ranks: 3rd average (.444), T-2nd RBI (7), 1st on-base percentage (.607), 4th slugging percentage (.889), 1st OPS (1.496), 4th hits (8), 1st walks (8), T-3rd extra-base hits (4), third total bases (16), and first runs scored (9).

🔼 In The Hunt. With 18 holes to play, the Virginia Tech men’s golf team is right in the hunt at the JT Poston Invitational in Waynesville, N.C.

Sahish Reddy and Benjamin Baker both carded rounds of 5-under on Monday to lead the Hokies, who enter the final round tied for second, just four shots back of NC State.

Baker is tied for the top spot on the individual leaderboard with Drew Yeagley of Elon, with both golfers three shots clear of the nearest competitor.

🔼 Hokie Hero. Each week throughout the 2026 Virginia Tech Football season, a Hokie Hero from the VT Corps of Cadets will be honored for their service.

This weekend’s Hokie Hero was 2nd Lt. Connor Ringvelski. He currently serves as a fire control platoon leader and Patriot crew tactical control officer, directing critical air defense missions against ballistic missile threats.

In his three seasons of pro ball, Carson DeMartini has blasted 21 HRs in 201 games.
