🏈 SHIPPIN’ UP TO BOSTON
On the heels of a 35-26 victory against the Maryland Terrapins, James Franklin and the Hokies will seek to secure consecutive statement road victories as they face Boston College at Alumni Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 26 at noon ET.
The game, which will be streamed on ACC Network, is the first conference opponent the Hokies will face in the 2026 regular season.

No one better defines that than Virginia Tech safety Tyson Flowers, who this week was named a semifinalist for the 2026 William V. Campbell Trophy, the National Football Foundation’s prestigious award recognizing the best football scholar-athlete in the nation.
Flowers is among a select group of student-athletes from across the country recognized for their accomplishments on the football field, in the classroom and in their communities.
A team captain for the Hokies, Flowers has established himself as a leader both on and off the field during his Virginia Tech career. He currently carries a 3.64 grade-point average and has embraced numerous leadership and service opportunities as a member of the Hokies.
🔼 Luuuukkkkeeee. The accolades continue to roll in for Virginia Tech tight end Luke Reynolds.
After a monster performance in the road win at Maryland last Saturday, Reynolds was named the John Mackey Award Player of the Week. The John Mackey Award is presented annually to the nation's most outstanding collegiate tight end. Reynolds is among the nation's top performers at the position through the opening weeks of the 2026 season.
Reynolds tallied 12 receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown against the Terps. The performance marked his second consecutive game with more than 100 receiving yards, making him the first tight end in Virginia Tech history to record back-to-back 100-yard receiving games.
🔼 Raising The Bar. It’s been eight years since Ian Ho graduated from Virginia Tech and the swimming & diving program. But the former Hokie is still making waves in the pool.
Last week, Ho set a Hong Kong national record in the 100m butterfly (52.78) and earned a silver medal in the 50m butterfly (21.76).

Virginia Tech Athletics has announced ticket opportunities for ACC games for both Hokies basketball programs, giving fans the chance to secure their seats for some of the season’s biggest matchups.
