🔼 Storm Troopers. Battling not only Boston College on the road, but also Mother Nature herself, the Virginia Tech football team moved to 4-0 for the first time since 2017 with dramatic 21-14 win over the Eagles.
Trailing 14-6 entering the fourth quarter, the Hokies rallied behind Marlion Jackson's first touchdown reception as a Hokie and a 76-yard scamper from Jeffrey Overton, Jr. to take a lead with 4:58 on the clock that would prove to be the winning score from a rainy Alumni Stadium.
Virginia Tech returns home to Lane Stadium this Friday, Oct. 2 (7 p.m. ET) against Pitt in another sold-out contest.
🔼 Captain America. The incredible summer of Virginia Tech wrestling standout Bo Bassett continued this past weekend as he defeated senior world bronze medalist Real Woods on Friday, September 25.
The young Hokie took the best-of-three series in dominant fashion to make his third age group world team this summer for the United States. He joins assistant coach James Green (74-kilogram) on Team USA set to compete at the 2026 World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan on October 28 – November 1.
🔼 Tiger Takedown. Virginia Tech volleyball finished its southern swing by bringing home its first ACC victory of the season with a 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-23) road victory at Clemson on Sunday afternoon.
Destiny Walker led the Hokies with 15 kills and 26 digs, marking her second double-double of the season, while Adeline Hundl and Isabela Lopez each added eight kills, with Lopez’s total marking a career best.
Izzy Mishler recorded five kills on .231 hitting and led the Hokies with 10 blocks, while Frances Torres finished with six kills. Camilla Brandalise tallied a career-best 38 assists, while Ivy Cooper led Tech with 25 digs.

Virginia Tech Athletics has announced ticket opportunities for ACC games for both Hokies basketball programs, giving fans the chance to secure their seats for some of the season’s biggest matchups.
