Virginia Tech Athletics has announced the next step in Invest to Win, while establishing the Investors Society, an exclusive group of dedicated supporters whose commitment to Hokie Athletics is helping advance the Invest to Win campaign and shape the future of Virginia Tech Athletics.
As Virginia Tech continues to build upon the Invest to Win campaign, the Investors Society will play an integral role in advancing strategic athletics priorities, matching the ambition of an athletics department that wants to position itself amongst the nation’s best, including expanding premium seating options for fans and enhancements to The Virginia Tech Gameday Experience.
Through the Invest to Win campaign, Virginia Tech is committed to building an athletics department that consistently competes on the national stage. That requires a financial model capable of supporting championship-level expectations. Virginia Tech is not waiting to see where the future of college athletics goes; we are investing in where we believe Virginia Tech Athletics belongs.
🔼 All New Episode. Another episode of Set In Stone takes you behind the scenes of Virginia Tech’s road win at Boston College to improve to 4-0.
🔼 The Runnin’ Man. After a career-best performance in Saturday’s win at Boston College, Virginia Tech running back Jeffrey Overton, Jr. was named ACC Running Back of the Week.
Overton rushed for a career-high 209 yards and a touchdown, a 76-yard gallop which proved to be the game-winning score in the fourth quarter. It was the sixth largest single-game rushing total on record at Virginia Tech.
The sophomore from Woodbridge, Virginia also registered three receptions for 19 yards.
🔼 Looking Ahead. The Hokies return home after claiming consecutive road victories to face the Pitt Panthers under the lights on Friday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. ET.
Friday’s contest features the Stripe Effect at Lane Stadium on primetime television, bringing unparalleled excitement for what already promises to be a thrilling weeknight matchup.
Tech football – which has outscored their opponents 173-64 through four games in 2026 – will look to secure a fifth straight win and start the season 5-0 for the first time since 2005. Read below to see the First Look of everything this week’s contest has to offer in Blacksburg.
🔼 Hokie Hero. Each week throughout the 2026 Virginia Tech Football season, a Hokie Hero from the VT Corps of Cadets will be honored for their service.
This weekend’s Hokie Heroes are 2nd Lt. Drew Conboy and 2nd Lt. Dylan Snider. Both are deployed to Romania in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
