Virginia Tech Athletics and Virginia Credit Union have announced an enhanced partnership that will bring Virginia Credit Union’s logo onto the field between the 20 and 30 yard lines at Lane Stadium, building on a connection between one of Virginia’s most recognized financial institutions and the Commonwealth’s most iconic sports venue.
Beginning with the 2026 football season, Virginia Credit Union’s branding will be prominently displayed on the field at Lane Stadium, providing the credit union with one of the most visible brand positions in collegiate athletics in Virginia and placing its brand directly in front of Hokie Nation and a national TV audience on game days.

Throughout the summer, we’ve been counting down the days to the return of Virginia Tech Football this fall. The Hokies will host VMI in front of a sold out Lane Stadium on September 5 at 7:30 p.m.

1️⃣ Day Away. The wait is almost over. Just over 24 hours separate us from the return of Hokie Football.
Isaiah Ford put together one of the most productive receiving careers in Virginia Tech history during his three seasons in Blacksburg from 2014-16.
Ford finished his Tech career with 210 receptions, 2,967 receiving yards and 24 touchdown catches, leaving Blacksburg as the program's career record holder in all three categories.
He earned All-ACC recognition in each of his three seasons, including first-team honors in 2015, before declaring for the NFL Draft following his junior year.

🔼 Tomorrow, Tomorrow. Virginia Tech Football officially opens a new era tomorrow night when the Hokies welcome VMI to a sold-out Lane Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
The season opener marks the highly anticipated debut of head coach James Franklin, who takes over a revamped Tech program featuring a mix of returning talent and one of the nation’s top newcomer classes.
It will also be the first meeting between the Hokies and Keydets since 1984 and the 80th matchup in the longtime series.
