🏈 FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
After a dominant season-opening win against VMI on Sept. 5, Tech football will look to claim consecutive home wins as they welcome Old Dominion to Lane Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 12 at noon ET. The matchup will serve as James Franklin’s second appearance in front of the Hokie faithful as head coach after what was a strong debut against the Keydets this past weekend.
The game is now sold out, but fans still seeking tickets are encouraged to visit SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of Virginia Tech Athletics.
To stay prepared for what is expected to be another can’t-miss contest, here are Five Things to Know for an unforgettable visit to Blacksburg and Lane Stadium this upcoming Saturday.
🔼 View From The Top. In record-setting fashion, the Virginia Tech women’s golf team captured the team title at the season-opening Nittany Lion Invitational.
Behind three Hokies inside the top 10, Tech fired a tournament-record 20-under 844 to post a five-shot victory over runner-up Maryland. The Hokies’ 844 broke the tournament record by seven shots.
Valentine Delon led the charge with a tournament-record 13-under 203, four strokes clear of Yale’s Hanny Wang and Maryland’s Nicha Kanpai. The senior’s 13-under scorecard is a program record for relation to par and set the individual tournament record by two shots.
