🔼 ACC Champs! For the fifth time in program history, Virginia Tech wrestling has won the ACC Championship! The Hokies sent eight wrestlers to the podium and scored 91.5 team points to claim the title, while crowning four individual conference champions — Rafael Hipolito Jr. (157 pounds), Eddie Ventresca (125 pounds), Connor McGonagle (133 pounds) and Caleb Henson (149 pounds).

🔼 Top 25 Matchup. No. 17 softball picked up a pair of ranked rivalry wins over No. 23 Virginia over the weekend, taking the first two games of the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash series at Tech Softball Park. The Hokies won 8-4 on Friday and 6-1 on Saturday to clinch the series win, hitting four home runs during Saturday’s win.

🔼 ACC Action. Baseball kicked off ACC play this weekend with a three-game series against Georgia Tech at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park, picking up an 8-5 win over the Yellow Jackets in Game 2 of the series. Sam Tackett and Jackson Cherry both drove in two runs and scored twice — Tackett with a pair of home runs and Cherry with one round-tripper.

Instant Impact. Lacrosse’s Maeve Obrist made her first career start in net on Saturday against Louisville and helped lead the Hokies to a 16-7 win over the Cardinals. Virginia Tech dominated in the fourth period against Louisville, turning a two-goal lead at the end of the third quarter into a blowout win to improve to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in ACC action.
