The Wuerffel Trophy recognizes the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with leadership achievement on and off the field. The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team award recognizes college football athletes for their unwavering commitment to community service and their โ€œgood worksโ€ off the field.

The Football Writers Association named Aeneas Peebles to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list. The award recognizes the best college football defensive player. Peebles recently spent four years at Duke before transferring to Virginia Tech in the offseason. The award finalists will be named on Nov. 20.
