🔼 Happening Now. Virginia Tech men’s basketball signee Neoklis Avdalas is competing in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2025 tournament. There are 16 national teams facing each other in the round-robin group play. Avdalas is on team Greece. Greece has gone 4-0 and will play today in the quarterfinals against France. In the first three games, Avdalas averaged 9.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.

Legacies of Lane. Graduate Noah Thompson and his Hokie alumni parents have attended Virginia Tech football games ever since he was born.

Thompson’s favorite game was when the Hokies beat Nebraska ##-15 on Sept. 19, 2009.

Hey! Goalkeeper Sam Joseph will play his first season with Virginia Tech this fall. Joseph is a senior who recently played at UCLA from 2022-24. In his junior year, he played six games and recorded a 1.17 GAA, .750 save percentage and 21 saves.
