Good morning! Reminiscing on a great first season for Megan Duffy!

🔼 Series Win. The softball team won its series against NC State. The Hokies won 10-2, 3-0 and 10-0. The team won game one in five innings, and Emma Lemley earned her 14th win of the season. Emma Mazzarone pitched a two-hit gem in game two. The Hokies won their 13th consecutive game in game three. Trinity Martin hit her first home run of the season.

🔼 Mound Rules. The baseball team won game two of the series against Notre Dame 6-1. Freshman southpaw Jake Marciano threw 116 pitches and set his rookie season high with nine strikeouts. The men clinched the series with an 11-5 win in game three. Jared Davis and Ben Watson combined for eight RBIs.

🔼 Top 3. The men’s golf team placed third at the Testudo Cup, its best finish of the season. The team had an overall score of 873 (+9). Gareth Steyn led the Hokies, tying for 5th place individually.

🔼 Upset! The men’s tennis team took down No. 46 Georgia Tech 5-2. The team celebrated Senior Day also. The Hokies won five singles matches to clinch the victory.

Court Report. The women’s tennis team secured its first ACC win over No. 68 Syracuse. The Hokies won 4-3. Virginia Tech won its second ACC match against Boston College. The women won 4-1, securing the doubles point and three singles matches.
