Inside HokieSports: Tuten's 4 National Recognitions
Bhayshul Tuten earned four national weekly honors.
Good morning! Thursday nights are for the Hokies. The football team has 25 ESPN Thursday night wins. That’s the most in college football! Thanks to our amazing Hokie Players of the Game and Hokie Stone Players of the Week.

🔼 Nationwide. Running back Bhayshul Tuten was named the Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week, Walker Camp National FBS Player of the Week, East-West Shrine Bowl Offensive Breakout Player of the Week and Reese’s Senior Bowl Offensive Player of the Week. Tuten had a career-high 266 rushing yards in the Hokies win over Boston College, setting the school’s single-game rushing record. He had three rushing touchdowns and a 20-yard reception for another score.
🔼 Match Results. Four Hokies competed at the MTSU Buck Bouldin Fall Classic this past weekend. Ryan Morgan and Patrik Jurina won two doubles matches. Morgan had three singles wins. Matt Harper and Julian Lozano won two doubles matches. Harper won a singles match as well. Jurina had two singles wins. Lozano had one singles win.

🟠 GAME PREVIEW
Eventful Saturday. This weekend’s game is a busy one! The Hokies will be playing Georgia Tech at noon on Saturday, celebrating homecoming and it’s a Maroon Effect game. Brent Pry will look to extend the team’s winning streak to three games. If you can’t attend the game, tune into Virginia Tech Sports Network or watch it on the ACC Network.
The Battle of the Techs has been a rival game since 1990. The programs are meeting for the 20th time this weekend. The Hokies hold the upper hand with an 11-8 lead.
